Kindergarten

At YSGA, our kindergarten classes are small and our dedicated and caring teachers get to know the scholars, their academic baseline, and each child's level of social-emotional development. Our scholars’ love of learning and innovative thinking begins in kindergarten.

ELEMENTARY

A strong elementary education is crucial for children as it lays the essential groundwork for their future academic and personal success.

YSGA's robust elementary education which includes two world languages and STEAM fosters curiosity and a love for learning, encouraging children to explore new ideas and think critically.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

Middle school serves as a bridge between elementary school and high school. This period helps scholars transition from the foundational skills learned in elementary school to the more complex and specialized knowledge they will encounter in high school.

At YSGA, middle school years are also crucial for building resilience, self-esteem, and the ability to handle stress and peer pressure.

WE ARE  YOUNG SCHOLARS

YSGA acknowledges that building robust relationships is essential for student success. Our dedicated staff invest their efforts in fostering meaningful connections with both students and their families.

STEAM Program

YSGA believes our scholars learn best by making and doing. We believe that community is the foundation of innovation. Our STEAM program invites all members of YSGA and the Greater Allegheny community to make and learn together.

1:1 Technology

At Young Scholars, we embrace cutting-edge education through 1:1 technology initiatives, seamlessly integrating technology into our curriculum. Our personalized approach ensures that each scholar has access to their own device, empowering them to explore, create, and collaborate in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

Small Class Sizes

We limit the class size to 22 students per class. Small class size improves student outcomes, grades, and test scores.

Small classes allow each child to be seen as a unique, whole-person, with his or her own learning style and pattern of growth.

Two World Languages

YSGA initiates bilingual instruction from Kindergarten through 8th grade, offering a program that blends a widely spoken language (Spanish) with a crucial language (Turkish). A "critical" language refers to one for which there is a significant demand for individuals who can proficiently listen, speak, read, and write in that language.

FREE Extended Day Programs

Young Scholars Voices

At YSGA, we believe that it is crucial for scholars to have a voice in their school because it fosters a sense of ownership and responsibility within the student body. When scholars are given the opportunity to express their opinions and contribute to decision-making processes, they feel valued and empowered.

More than a school

The teachers at YSGA actually care if you understand things or not. If you don’t understand something, they are not just going to leave you there. They take the time to go over the information several times until you get it. I love this about my YSGA teachers.

My teachers come here every day with a smile on their face helping students learn and be successful for their future.

More than a kindergarten

I want everyone to know that YSGA is the best school around. The children really learn, they speak different languages, there is wonderful diversity, the grammar is proper, and their entire education is high and lifted up.

I’ve never been around children who love to learn as much as these kids. So parents, if you want the best education for your child, I recommend checking out YSGA!
