YSGA supports new teachers with a one year mentoring program which not only welcomes new hires, but helps them to settle in to the YSGA community. New teachers have the opportunity to ask questions, receive feedback, and reflect as they develop their new skills.

At YSGA, we believe that a great education begins with great educators who are experts in their field, who care deeply about their scholars, and are passionate about creating an inclusive, nurturing culture that encourages scholars to do their best work.

YSGA has 60 faculty members who enjoy rewarding and meaningful challenges in a diverse and supportive community. Our staff is dedicated, creative, and scholar centered.

Professional Development

YSGA believes in lifelong learning opportunities and professional development for all who contribute to our learning community. From our New Teacher Training, The YSGA Teacher Summer Institute, and Professional Development opportunities that take place throughout the year, our teachers are well cared for and supported. Any faculty member who may want to attend a conference to enhance their education, has the opportunity to apply for funding.
