The governance structure of Young Scholars of Greater Allegheny Charter School is designed to ensure effective oversight and leadership that align with the school's mission and goals. The governance framework is primarily centered around the School Board of Directors, which is responsible for setting the strategic direction, establishing policies, and overseeing financial and operational management. The Board hires and evaluates the CEO, ensuring that the school's leadership adheres to the vision and objectives set forth by the Board.
The board also ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, maintaining transparency and accountability in its operations. Regular meetings are held to review progress, make necessary decisions, and engage with stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and the broader community. The governance model emphasizes collaboration, ethical conduct, and a steadfast commitment to fostering an environment conducive to academic excellence and student development. Through its governance practices, the Board seeks to create a stable and thriving educational institution that meets the needs of its students and the expectations of its community.

The meeting may be in-person at 10 Center Street, McKeesport, PA 15132, or online. An online option will always be available by clicking here. This meeting has been publicized by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Sunshine Act, and notice has been posted in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and on the school’s website.
