Through the course of the school year, winter weather conditions or unexpected circumstances like interruptions to our utility services may require Young Scholars to delay the opening of school or close school for the day.

Please note that school is only canceled in unusual circumstances such as extreme weather, facility or equipment failure, environmental hazards, or significant safety risks. In the case of weather, Young Scholars primarily considers McKeesport Schools when scheduling delays and closings.
