YSGA utilizes a variety of assessments to determine student performance levels.  Data from the assessments informs instruction and support.

i-Ready

i-Ready is an online program for reading and mathematics that is used to identify students’ needs, personalize their learning, and monitor progress throughout the school year. i-Ready helps teachers to meet students exactly where they are and provides data to increase students’ learning gains. Based on the computer-based assessment, i-Ready provides individualized, online lessons for each child.

The CDT (3-8)

CDT (Classroom Diagnostic Tools) are invaluable resources because they provide real-time data and insights into scholars' academic progress and needs. By administering diagnostic assessments regularly, our educators can pinpoint individual strengths and areas for improvement, allowing for targeted instruction and intervention. These tools help our teachers tailor their teaching strategies to meet the diverse learning needs of their scholars, ultimately fostering a more inclusive and effective learning environment. Moreover, CDTs enable YSGA to track scholars' growth over time, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to improve curriculum and instructional practices. With CDTs, educators can intervene early to prevent learning gaps, support struggling scholars, and ensure that all learners reach their full potential.

DIBELS (K-2)

The DIBELS serves as a critical tool for our educators in assessing and monitoring scholars' early literacy skills. These assessments provide valuable data on scholars’' reading fluency, phonemic awareness, and comprehension, enabling teachers to identify areas where scholars may need additional support.
