Educational Model

Young Scholars Charter School has a unique mission!

YSGA prides itself on creating an environment that fosters cultural awareness and diversity.  Research has shown that learning a new language develops the brain and has a positive effect on student learning. Beginning in kindergarten, our students learn two global languages which assist in overcoming barriers and making connections between cultures. A rigorous academic curriculum ensures that every student is prepared for our changing world.

Young Scholars of Greater Allegheny is intentional about growing our students both academically and socially. Our goal is to:

  • Develop productive citizens of the world who understand that culture, language, and education lead to success.
  • Build and reinforce students’ sense of identity, individuality, and cultural awareness.
  • Stimulate curiosity, inquiry, and critical thinking skills to foster a spirit of discovery and learning readiness.
