Dear Families,

YSGA takes great pride in our look as a school community and all students should be dressed in complete uniform beginning the first day of school, August 28, 2023. Shop early, many local stores are preparing for the opening of schools and have already stocked their shelves for the upcoming year; Walmart, Old Navy, and Gabriel Brothers to name a few.

Our school shirt is a gray polo shirt embroidered with our school logo which will be worn with navy, black or khaki pants, for all students. Scholars are expected to be in uniform daily except on assigned gym or school dress-down days. 

Shirts will be available for purchase from the school beginning Tuesday, August 1, from 8 am -4 pm, Monday – Friday. Shirt sizes range from Youth X-Small to Adult 2X in both short and long sleeves. Short sleeves are $13 each and long sleeve shirts are $16. Cash or credit cards will be accepted.  We also offer a blue YSGA crewneck sweatshirt for scholars is grades 6-8.  The cost for this sweatshirt is $20.  Also new this year is our Red, YSGA PE shirt which is $12.  This shirt is available for scholars grades K-8.

The uniform look is the same for all students.

• Gray shirt with school logo, worn tucked in
• Navy, black, or khaki belted pants 
• Navy school logo sweater (worn over uniform shirt)’- available for purchase from the school
• Solid navy sweater  (worn over uniform shirt)
• Black or brown belt
• Solid black, navy blue or brown soled shoes 
• Solid black or white tennis shoes

(Jeggings, leggings, shorts, rompers, skirts, crocs, and sandals are not permitted.  The old light blue polo shirts (YSMCS) are also not permitted)

Hairstyles are included in our dress policy.  Extreme hairstyles or excessive colors are not acceptable. Accent colors are acceptable within reason.  Excessive jewelry and nose, tongue, lip, and eyebrow piercings are not permitted. The dress code will be strictly enforced.
